On Behalf of the Parade Committee of the Hampton Bays Hiberians, The 2023 Hampton Bays St Patricks Day Parade will be Saturday March 18th, 2023

The Hampton Bays St. Patrick’s Day Parade was first held on March 19th, 2006. The parade was organized by members of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Michael Collins Division 11 of Hampton Bays. Division 11, formed in April of 2001, was the first AOH division on the East End of Long Island. One of the first goals of the fledgling organization was to host a hometown St. Patrick’s Day parade. A committee was formed which included founding members Mike Quinlan Sr, Dan Heaney, Bill Hughes, John Ryan and Jim Cantwell, among others. To this day, Bill Hughes still serves as Parade Committee Treasurer under the stewardship of Chairman Steve Lemanski. Founding member Dan Heaney acted as the inaugural Grand Marshal. Since then, Grand Marshal duties have been performed by Mike Quinlan Sr, Eric Sutton, Jim Cantwell, Patrick Heaney, George Skidmore, Tony Galgano and Mickey Shields, John Ryan, Sister Kathryn Schlueter, Active Military Personnel, Mark Shortall, Bill Hughes, Lars Clemensen, Fergus Scully, Steve Lemanski and Mike Quinlan Jr. The parade committee is honored to have Southampton Town Council member Rick Martel to serve as this year's Grand Marshal. The parade attracts thousands of spectators each year and features an array of entertainment from pipe bands, school marching bands, community organizations, business floats, fire departments and more. The Parade Committee hosts two fundraisers per year to help offset the cost of the annual event; a commemorative parade journal and a late summer cocktail party which has been held at various local establishments. Without the support of the Hampton Bays community, this would not be possible. The Parade Committee would like to thank the Southampton Town Police Department, the Southampton Town Highway Department, the Southampton Town Parks and Recreation Department, The Southampton Town Board, Hampton Bays School District and St. Rosalie’s for their continued help and support. This year marks the 17th annual Hampton Bays St. Patrick’s Day Parade which will be held on Saturday March 18th at 11AM.
